Hi, All.
So, the answer is "liquid detergent". i.e. Tide or dish detergent, or the
correct(read expensive) MBZ goo?

I used Prestone radiator flush on a VW with a blown head gasket. It
acted like a mild detergent. It seemed to work pretty well at getting
the oil out of the radiator and such. (You want it gone -- it can impede
heat transfer and soften hoses.) The plastic tanks had the worst
build-up because the oil floats to the top; I ended up taking those out
and scrubbing them with a bottle brush.
