The young folks may not mind paying monthly fees for such but I cannot see most older folks thinking that is acceptable. Ford's crazy idea to make command start work through your mobile phone and charge you a monthly fee for it is silly. Thankfully, my truck is old enough to predate all that nonsense. My son's truck is new enough to be caught up in that but he bought it used and the previous owner had already had an aftermarket command start installed so he doesn't pay for monthly service.

I am still annoyed that Google is trying to push features onto me that I neither need nor want and insisting that I pay them a monthly fee. I need to figure out how to dump them.
