Yeah, like everyone steals cars out from under you all the time… (eye roll)
Actually, Floyd spotted it on FB and pointed it out to me, and then was kind enough to go have a look. It has 70k on the clock. I’m the 4th owner. First owner was an MBUSA lease and had it for a year. Second owner had it for 18 years and maintained it at MB of Manhattan (NYC) with a “no expense spared” approach. The VMI is seven pages long, and includes all of the known issues like oil cooler seals, having been done. They traded it in in 2019 and it went to auction, where the third owner bought it. They were injured not long after purchasing the car and went on disability for a back injury, and as a result were unable to drive or service it. So they put it up for sale and I made them an offer they couldn’t refuse - $4,000. It’s got lots of cool options, like heated & cooled massage seats, rear window shade, soft close doors, etc., etc. It’s not perfect, it has some minor issues, all of which will be addressed in the coming weeks. It’s still on the trailer this morning, I’ll be unloading it shortly and starting in on a inventory of what needs to be done. I’ll probably start another blog on my web site on the work.
