Mrs. Dan advised me that the last time she went to the “Kentucky Colonel” as
it’s referred to in my house, there was gravy that got spilled on both front
seats of the E320 (W211).

Excellent! I had been surveying steam cleaners for a while, and had some
recommendations from others, primarily Floyd. I wanted something more
substantial than the little handheld steam guns, and in discussion with Floyd
he suggested this model and shared his experiences with his.

I ordered a McCulloch MC1385 steam cleaner from Amazon Warehouse at a heavily
discounted amount, and after a week of wandering around the country it showed
up. This happened to coincide with the weekend I was getting the CL600 moved
down from Floyd’s house, so it’s sat in the box by the door waiting to be
unpacked.

Today was the day! I got it out, checked that everything was included and there
was no obvious damage or defect, and then loaded it up with some distilled
water. Within about 10 minutes I had steam, so I got a little brush out with
the hand nozzle and went at it.

It was like the gravy had never existed! Got the gravy out and then wiped
everything off with a microfiber towel. Nice!

I highly recommend this method of cleaning. I’ve seen and watched it being
used, but never tried it myself.
