You need to go back and follow the Murdaugh business for some good Suthrun good ol boy corruption and crime. There’s a Netflix documentary about it that’s sorta OK but the Murdaugh Murders podcast is excellent — start at the beginning and listen to them all. They’ve got them on YouTube now too. They all lived down about halfway between Charleston and Beaufort SC which isn’t too far from Savannah.
