It sounds like his folks used the bus as a camper some years ago. Sounds like maybe they got it to CT and something happened, like a health issue or something and they had to leave it there.
Despite the coating of moss it seems like the thing was reasonably well stored... -Curt On Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 09:41:17 AM PDT, Allan Streib <astr...@fastmail.fm> wrote: I have. I have watched a few "Bus Grease Monkey" videos and that Low Buck one popped up recently. An old 1950s Kenworth bus. I didn't know Kenworth ever made buses. It looked like that bus had spring suspension, not air bags, which is probably why he didn't have to do a lot of work on it to get it to hold air pressure. I was sort of surprised that aside from a few minor things he pretty much just drove it off. I wonder if despite its age it didn't have a lot of miles on it, or it had been really well cared for before it was parked. Most of those old buses have hundreds of thousands of miles and the air brakes, air compressor, wheel bearings, tires, air bags, shocks, kingpins, etc. are all worn out.
