Definitely a roll of the dice. A lot depends on how quickly it was mitigated, that is, stuff pulled out and dried out as quickly as possible. On the minimal experience I have, it’s near impossible to get the odor of mildew out of the sound deadening material on the floor and the insulation under the seats, so I would be looking for that and if it’s present to see if it’s brand new. That would also indicate a major effort on the part of the owner, as in the cases I’ve seen people tend to just pull stuff out and toss it rather than replace it.
