Looking for cars for me these days is so strange. For so many years when I would be looking for something it was because I needed something to drive to the old nuke plant. As a result it was often times something I wasn’t totally in love with, rather it was something I knew I could count on to get to work. Now when I look I know it’s for something that I don’t have to rely on for daily transportation so I want it to check more of the boxes of what I want. This old 240D is a good example of something I would have likely ran to ground as something I know I could have driven 95 miles each day with no worries, and if something came up, I could fix it. Retired life is so different. AZBob Sent from Mail for Windows From: dan penoff.com via Mercedes Not bad looking for what you can see. Too bad it's got a slushbox. That white paint seems to have escaped the normal AZ patina, maybe it's been garaged regularly? -D ________________________________ From: Mercedes <mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com> on behalf of Bob Rentfro via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2023 1:07 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Cc: azbob...@gmail.com <azbob...@gmail.com> Subject: [MBZ] 1982 240D https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/279726514438360/ Asking x 0.4 = more reasonable ask.
