We wanted a video doorbell sans WiFi crap etc. Bought one and installed it. Tested it and it worked great, except that the video was slightly fuzzy. Checked all kinds of things, no joy, and so, to bed. Woke up at 02:30 for a visit and, sitting there in the dark, had an epiphany! Put on my warmest robe, went outside (36deg F) and peeled the verdammt plastic skin off the camera lens! I grow too soon, old and too late, smart!
