Ok thanks for the info I’ll keep the car I’m not selling it it’s cheap for the price I’m going to regret it

I think you should keep it, not worth selling, you couldn’t find anything better.  These are nice cars as you know.  If at some point in the future you decide to sell it, check in with me and we can discuss.  I’d be interested to have it and save it from some moron who would just trash it, once you no longer want it.  I appreciate you chatting with me.  Enjoy the car!

You’re right well still for sale to someone who is going to take care of it make me an offer I live in a gated community and I could only have one vehicle I got me a ford ranger

I would definitely take care of it, it’s a really nice car, I love my Benzes and don’t have a W140, but I’m not entirely sure I am completely interested to buy it.  Let me think about it a bit and I’ll get back to you.  I appreciate your information.

Delivered

No problem then you’ll have them all

So this is a one-year only 300SE with a 2.8L M
104.94x<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_M104_engine>. I guess it
is a fairly rare model but that doesn't make it particularly attractive except as
something somewhat unique

+++++++++++++

It’ is a 300 class you’re right

300SE?

OK that is what I needed! Thanks!

The M 104 petrol engine was introduced in 1992 with two displacements: the
smaller 2.8-litre M 104.94x engine was fitted to the 300 SE 2.8 (one year only)

I t’s rare you right

So this car has the small 6cyl engine

It’s a great running car daily driver

I’m sure it is, this model was kinda the last best Mercedes, built by engineers
not bean counters. I’m not particularly attracted to the smaller engines
though, I like some good power especially in the bigger cars

Poos has me dealing with an old moron about this car. It's W140 500SEL,
apparently, he was suggesting it's a W124 500E or 300E, or something. I kinda
like it but not enough now to drive to Whorelando to check it out. Plus it has
fugly pimp wheels although in general it looks pretty nice.

My text exchange:

I 3/29/24 2:00PM I saw your ad for the car, it’s a very interesting color
combination. I like it! What’s the VIN on the car please, I’d like to check
out the specifications for the car. Thanks.

I don’t provide that info sorry car still available

Why won’t you provide the VIN?

Makes it hard to do some research before committing to come a distance to look
at it

It’s my car I just don’t do it I’m older man did one time guy got the vin got a key
code & stole it that’s why

It’s a 2000 car comon

OK I get that, I’m a bit older too and have several Benzes, I like to do some
research on them before I decide whether I want to go the distance and time to
look at them. But if you’re not comfortable in that regard then I respect that

Thank you you’re more than welcome to see it I have nothing to hide

So what is confusing me is that you say it is a “500e straight 6cyl” or a “
mercedes benz 500r 6cyl.” A 500E is a V8, a 300E is a 6cyl

It is a straight 6 I could send you a picture of the engine

OK so it is a 300E then. That is why I was asking for the VIN, so I could
determine exactly what the car is

I have a 95 E320 and 2 92 400Es so that is why I was interested in the car, if
it was actually a V8 like the 400E or 500E

It’s not a 300 that’s the midsize Benz it’s a 500sel

Hmmm. Ok. So it is not a 6cyl, it’s a V8 and not an E-klasse

6cyl

A 500SEL has a V8 engine
