This is the key. If you belong to a “good” chapter, like the Washington D.C. or Seattle ones, I would say it’s definitely worth it. If you have a local chapter that’s a dud, or just a koffee klatch for the core group that has run it for decades and does what they like to do and nothing else (Tampa Bay Section) it’s a waste of money.
