I was at W'mart yesterday & they had M1 15W50 jugs in the back row - typically the discount area - but it wasn't that cheap - the 5 qt jug was $27 and I bought 2 jugs.

I had the same thought about M1 discontinuing 15W50 - I hope it;s not true - after all the work to get people willing to use synthetic and now they withdraw the popular weight for hi-performance sports and luxury cars. The new cars that use M1 out of the factory door have engines built to much tighter tolerances allowing the use of 0W40 and 0W30 M1 among other weight. IMHO of course. I believe the older cars (such as many of the ones we have on these discussion lists) *need* a weight like 15W50.

Mobil 1 15W-50 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED! It's been replaced by 15W-50 Extended!!
