Thanks to all for the information re: my car and vacuum pumps. I will sleep better knowing I don't have a pump on my car that could destroy the engine. Now, somebody tell me how to double my fuel mileage. My old 124 diesel (now OK Don's) got 34 mpg. This beast of a car gets 20-21.
