Folks,
I am looking at buying a new C230 Sport (mit 6-speed manual). However, one
thing that popped up is that the new 2007 models have a 19mpg/City,
25mpg/Highway ratings. The 2006 models had 30mpg on the highway.
What gives?
As far as I can discern (from seeing other 2007 models on the dealer's lot),
the rest of the lineup appears to stayed with the same numbers as were seen in
2006.
Anyone know if Mercedes has done something to the 2007 engine in the C230 (2.5L
V-6) for 2007?
If the 2007s do, indeed, get 5mpg lower on the highway then I will be looking
to find a 2006 model soon, before they're all scarfed-up.
The older model had a 1.8 "kompressor" engine while the current model
has a 2.5 V-6 (lower mileage).
