[MBZ] Possible damage caused by heated WVO

I seem to recall that using  heated WVO in an old Merc eg W123 300D will
cause premature engine failure/damage - does anyon e know what that
failure is likely to be. There is a local guy who is doing that and
claims that his car has been going fine for xxxxx km 's.
