Actually, in the early 80's we were building a Breeder Reactor near OakRidge Tn which would have used all the nuke waste presently stored at nuclear power plants around the country.
Yeah, the high-level waste fuel material. The lower-grade stuff is really quite the problem, though, as it's just so bulky. -- Jim
