"You have the makings of the next great reality TV show. "Kansas City Law" I bet your company picnics could evolve into a WWF style free-for-all with a little creative prodding. Maybe O.J. Simpson could host it?" The firm picnics/bar-b-Q/barn parties are always fun and drama-free. However, the thing that does turn into a WWF style fighting is Lawyer's League Softball. Some firms take softball WAY too seriously. Our firm joined up with another firm to form a team. Our goal is to drink beer and have fun. We usually lose more than we win - but we have fun and it never turns into a fight. However, a few of the teams have try-outs and practices. One firm has $300 bats and every member of the team is wearing cleats and matching softball pants and shirts. The really serious teams break out the tape measure to make sure the bases are spaced appropriately (to the inch). That same team has nothing but Gatorade and water in their cooler. We just started putting a few waters in the cooler (instead of all beer) because our 65 yr old female scorekeeper wants a little water with her Chivas. We keep a couple of spare gloves because a few members of the team don't have their own. Donald H. Snook 1990 300SEL 129K
