Well I removed the filter from the tank of my '95 E300D and found it clogged with slime. So it seems like the tank should be removed and cleaned because there must be more slime in there to just clog the filter again. I removed the level sensor, boot at the filler, bottom hoses etc, and the 4 nuts visible from the tunk. Did everything just like the manual says. The tank would not budge. I even started to bend it using a crow bar. WTF? Are there more bolts somewhere on a 124 tank?
