This idea wasn't dreamed up by the builder of the Rabbit diesel pusher
trailer. Seattle has had a fleet of articulated buses for quite a while that
are
combination diesel pusher in the trailer and electric power in the front half.
Whether both power sources are used together at times is unknown to me. They
have some sort of anti-jacknife control which isn't very effective because when
we have snow, they are all in the ditches. The original Italian-built Breda
buses mtbf in the early days was about 900 miles.
