I'll add also: Mine really likes to be placed into a forward gear for at least a split second before shifting to reverse, otherwise it "kachunks" into reverse.
And lately, it seems, unless I depress the clutch to the floor, it'll kachunk into reverse. I wonder if this is a sign of needing a new clutch? Brian watch for a mercedes post coming soon
