Loren I did this recently on my W201 - I imagine that a W124 would be very similar I needed to use a very small, and very short, Phillips screwdriver to undo the two screws at the rear of the grille. The front of the grille 'pegs' into the dash. Lift the rear up, and the grille back My speakers lifted out, with a spring clip to hold them in Howard Fulford Bath England 190E '87 2.0 litre, 149349 miles
