Bob,
Was it sealed before?  Have you changed the copper washer under the
filter bolt?  We had that trouble with my brother's 240D on #2 fuel and
a new washer from Rusty fixed it.

HAH!  I can't properly seal the main fuel filter (spin-on canister) on
her 1985 300CD.  Is the fuel too "thin" to be stopped by the filter's
rubber gasket??
