Well, I am sort of going on the basis of the fact that the diesel engine is 
pretty heavy. It will require quite a
boat and so I am thinking displacement hull maybe rather than planing hull. It 
is not going to put out high
horsepower but has pretty good torque which is probably what we want for 
turning the prop anyway. Diesel can of
course be fairly noisy so we will need to put a dandy cover over the motor to 
keep the noise down. I like the idea
but like everything else, it would need some time and money.
