I'm pretty new to the list, and for the most part, sitting back and trying to read as many posts as I can and just soak it all up. :-)
After talking to one of my Porsche friends on the list about some benz models, I think I have settled on an E class wagon. I still can remember the chassis numbers, but they are ones that started in the mid to later 80s, then changed body style and ended in "00 I think? I'm just keeping an eye on eBay to try to get an idea of what I should pay. I'd like something with about 80-90K miles, nice and clean and no crashes. I'll keep looking and get back to the list when I narrow it down and see something I like. A friend had a SD years ago, and I loved that car!! I'd like one too, but at this time, I think the wagon fits the bill better. I currenly have an old ford wagon to the pets, guitars and amps around in, so the benz will replace that car. If running an old benz works out ok, I'll have my dad replace his car with a wagon too; anything to keep him out of an SUV. lol. I'll keep you all updated. Zeb
