After it should be at NOP/NOT, everything FEELS correctly and equally hot(both hoses, top of rad, t-stat housing).
The bottom hose is usually markedly cooler, though not maybe easy to tell by hand.
Which is more likely to fail or give false readings...temp sensor or tempgauge?
The sensor. Just as likely, however, is connections and wire along the way, especially on the dirty end. -- Jim
