Kaleb on my cars with twin zeniths, it always seems to be the accelerator pump's nozzle end which get clogged and causes the symptoms you describe . clearing these will result in a strong squirt of fuel being injected and perfect starting everytime alongwith a hesitation free acceleration.

Subject: [MBZ] zenith cars

Got this 69 250, dual carbs etc. I never drive it but been playing with
it here and there to get it road ready. Seems to run decent but will
not start unless you pour a little gas down the carbs. Once it starts,
it will keep running. Probably not perfect but not too bad. Sure it
needs to be adjusted. Even after warmed up, if you shut it off and try
and restart it right away, will not start unless gas is poured down the
carbs. Since I am a diesel man, I have no clue where to start. Fuel
pump not pumping? Anybody got any good info on properly setting up and
adjusting these dual zenith carbs?
