The one that is on self-destruct made it through the Winter, but we are getting toward the time when AC will be needed daily. It might work for a couple of more months, but I suspect he will say to get it replaced. Have you a wonderful used compressor for my 1981 300SD? He suggested it would probably need a dryer also. I'm working on tracking down a severe leak in my door lock system, and I can't get my [EMAIL PROTECTED] MityVac to seal well enough on the vacuum lines to hold a vacuum long enough to test the lines. (I've confirmed that it's not that every single line in the car is leaking by testing with a piece of hose and a nice damp thumb - definitely something in the MityVac itself just sometimes doesn't seal right; I think it's just that the plug adapters aren't very good sometimes. Has anyone else had this happen and is it fixable (ie, something I can do to the plug adapters)? Or is the MityVac simply broken? (I have the metal one, not the plastic, so theoretically it could be rebuilt, if it's internal). Thanks, Stuart S. 1976 300D (w115)
