Good for you! How on earth did you find a 30 Amp strip fuse? I could not
buy any from stealerships, they could not even find a part number. Rusty
sent me 60 Amp glow fuses in place of the 30A ACC fuses I ordered. My
400k SDL still has a 16 ga jumper wire based on the theory that 16 ga wire
melts with about 30 Amps.

happened. I thought someone was wrong with the ACC. I tried every
button and nothing happened. I made it to my appointment, forgot about
it and on the way back, I wondered whether I had a fuse out. I couldn't
find anything else that wasn't working.
I discovered that the same fuse that runs the ACC also controls the
on-board diagnostic system. Ta Da! Problem solved. Until I looked at
the fuse - it was fine. I thought. It looked fine, but when I removed
it, the strip was cracked and broken. When it was in the fuse holder it
looked solid, but on closer inspection it was blown. So, it was just a
fuse for both problems. This, of course, reinforces Dr. Booth's advice
- replace old FUSES!
