Don't you think the M class is sort of a minivan as well? Does not have sliding 
side doors but apart from that sort
of van like rather than SUV like if you ask me.

I think the new R Class is MBs minivan.  Also, all minivans have undergone a
transformation  from looking like a little van to more of a large station
wagon with an upright drivers area.
