The problem may not be the lifetime of the media, but the lifetime of the player! How many 8-track players are still out there?

Heck, I still have cassette tapes I bought in the 80's and 8 tracks my mom bought in the 70's, oh, and a few old reeel to reel tapes that still play just fine. I think CD's will last much longer than that. Mike
