I'm considering buying a set of bundts for my 240D.. I have them on my 300SD..

They seem to run ~$50-70 a rim on ebay, but so many times prices are inflated there..

There are two SD's at a local wrecking yard.. I was considering purchasing the two spares, if they're there, and two cleaner rims.. About what should they go for?? Are they getting harder to find, should I consider purchasing a "spare" or two??

BTW-- the replacement window arrived quickly and went in, pretty much hassle free-- with the exception of the old window gaskets pretty much falling apart.. I don't plan to keep it forever, and it's something that happens.. :(

I'm going to 'interrogate' the vac system, maybe this weekend, to see if I can get the car to shut off with the key.. As current-- it will shut off, if I lock the driver's door.. So I'm hoping it's just bad there (in the distrubution 'servo' in the door)-- the central locks 'try' to work, and all of the doors 'seem' to lock (over about a minute of driving..) They bleed down pretty quickly after the engine is shut off.. I realize that doesn't mean the leak is in THAT system, though.. The car seems to shift better than my 300SD, that doesn't have any vac issues.

I was told 'Rusty' at buymbparts sells diaphragms to rebuild the vacuum servos (or whatever they're called).. How do I search his site for them-- I guess I should have asked Jim what they were called..

Side question.. My 240D is a rusty little thing that runs good.. I'm not looking to restore it, only to make a safe 'daily driver' out of it.. Is there a REASON I can't cap the vac system TO the central locking system, and not waste time diagnosing it?? If so, is there a 'better' place to do that??

Thanks for reading, any advice would be appreciated..

Anthony
