Thanks John, The car has lots of miles on it, so I'll just wait until a couple of friends are in an engine pulling mood and we can make a weekend of it. :-) I'm still going over the car and making my to do list. Got the engine about 70% clean. Next job, pull all clean all the ground wires and connectors. Tis the season to tinker. :-)

Don't know how many miles your new ride has Ed, but that leak is typical for MB's and probably coming from the front transmission seal. It is about 400.00 to repair (labor) and some folks just wait until they have to redo the transmission. (I, being one of those in the past). Cardboard under the car and checking A/T level frequently is recommended until repairs can be made. Someone else a while back had the leak fixed and then months later the transmission went out and they were 400.00 poorer.
