Thanks Peter, Can you give me a few pointers where to look, what to check exactly? Like I say, you can hear a some missing and feel the "stumble" and shakes at idle with my foot on the break. There is also a slight miss when the car is put into D or P, but not as bad.

Look for a vacuum leak. Your idle control system is working, idle in gear is 500 rpm, slightly higher out of gear.
