I went there as a last resort as I couldn't find anyone else around here who
would do. They charged me 99.50 for a little under two pounds. Of course,
they did full inspection of ACC and everything else they wanted to sell me.
Also a free wash and quick detail. However, I thought it was a good deal
all things considered. I am happy. In addition, I got to test drive a new
Bluetech. FWIW-this dealer is Carriage House in New London CT. A small
family owned dealership on the edge of downtown. John Peterson and I go
there when we do dealer service, as the one here in RI was the one that
really screwed John on the transmission replacement -remember that long
saga? This one seems honest and competent, but of course a little spendy.
They have now started a "classic care center"- they have four mechanics who
have over 70 years of combined experience-you can ask for one of them. I had
one do the valves on my 240D.

How much did the Stealer charge for the R-12? And how many pounds did
they put in?
