Croatia. From what I understand he bought the donor 500SE only to find out it had Bosnian papers and couldn't be registered, so he decided to build the car of his dreams instead. Hard to imagine he couldn't find a better 123, but if you like to weld and are going to take the whole thing apart anyway, may as well shop on price and not condition.
I'm still awestruck at the amount of work he's putting into that thing. Tom
