For a grand, the Macbook makes a very speedy Winders laptop. And
they are light and very portable. Besides that you can dual boot
into OSX. Last year when they were new, they were as fast or faster
than any other Windows laptop. If you want to spend $2500, the
Macbook pro also does all the above. The only laptop I am aware of
that might be worth that kind of jack is a toughbook for a military contract.
