The only thing I can say is to take the vacuum pump off and see how its
setup behind it. I would almost bet the newer one will fit just fine.

There are a few minor differences I noticed.
One of them is the vacuum pump.
The 116 has the double piston type, the 126 the single piston. Are
these pumps interchangeable?
I like to keep mine since it just got rebuilt and I have no idea what
the life span of the older double piston type may be.
The other thing is the aircleaner. The 116 has no oildrain from the
aircleaner to the pan, thus the pan does not have a hole/connection
for it. I was thinking of swapping the pans, but questioning if the
drain is a must. What if I plug the hole in the aircleaner? The deain
on the 126 had no rubber seals for a long time and it never leaked.
