I dunno but I was on a flight that made a go-around once.
Coming into LAX, we're down low, everything seems normal. Wait, theres the 
runway, I've flown alot and it seems like we're not low enough. It also seems 
like we're going REALLY fast...
Then the power comes on, the nose comes up and the pilot tells us he's "gonna 
try that again".
Four words to inspire confidence...

I wonder what, if any stigma or penalty there is for a commercial/heavy 
(the 
plane, not the pilot)  pilot who must do a go-around because of 
...hmmm... 
what would you call that?  Error  in judgement? ;-)

Yep!  There's more of us than of them.  Just require that all explosives
be separated from their detonators and/or timers, and that pressurized
containers be stored outside the pressurized cabin.  Y'know, basic
safety rules.
