this is a part of it.  just dead reliable and sturdy.

it's the only laptop i've ever used that i can actually type fairly well on.

the drive slot allows for interchangeable modules or even an extra battery.
how many laptops can you actually work all day on battery power?  pop out
the extra battery and put in cd/dvd burner or zip drive (yeah, i still use
one of those).  use pcmcia card for broadband access or for compact flash
card.    it's just darn versatile from a practical standpoint -- think 1979
