Windows does have one great OS, but it costs a fortune. I was lucky
enough to get on the beta program for windows server 2003 for my
recording studio and had about 2 years of free usage of that thing and
it was just plain sweet. I had it on a digital audio workstation and a
backup server with a decent sized storage array. Impossible to crash no
matter how hard I loaded it up. Only problem with it was after the beta
program ran out, the near $800 price tag was too much to be able to
justify. If they had a more realistic price tag on the thing, they'd
sell them like crazy, as it is, MS prices small business and individuals
right out of the market. I ended up going back to win2k which works ok,
but can can a bit cranky with more than one audio application open at once.
