Theres lots of time when winter is the trucking time of choice. Lots of logging 
takes place in the winter for instance.
Not only are the logging roads easier to use but the skidders and other logging 
equipment can get to the trees easier.

Nope.

But I know of the ice roads and the drivers that haul freight.
It's rather ironic that the _winter_ is the only suitable time
to haul freight. In most places the transportation work is done
when the weather is fairest - up there they work only when the
weather is the coldest!

And I rarely have to worry about the road swallowing my truck...
