Gerry As Marshall suggests, definitely replace the center differential mount first. there is no way of telling if there is metal to metal contact with the mount in place so you have to remove it to check it. If it is old you should just replace it at a cost near $70 each, plus your labor. You can sometimes verify it is this mount by driving over an undulating highway where the diff mount is loaded and unloaded. If the noise disappears when the car is floating over a hump, that is the center mount failing. If you have to buy another differential, you will surely want to replace this mount anyway, so do it first.
