Hi, Bob. Two out of the three '78 300D's that I had did have working ACC systems, and neither had fan speeds anywhere near the defroster speed when in any other mode on high. I never knew why or if this was the nature of the beast. The '83 300SD does blow at similar fan speed on high AC or heat as it does on defrost, different system, different car, but why?
