Mitch is right in that I don't want a 2wd, but in driving my Dakota to Maine
yesterday I'm thinking it might be hard to give up the 230hp V8. 20mpg it'll
pull on the highway at 65mph isn't bad either...

Its not that I'm afraid of driving a 2wd in the winter its that it just isn't
capable of the stuff I need to do. A 2wd Dakota will no pull start my tractor,
the 4wd is just barely capable. In the winter I'd be needing to have snow tires
and a bunch of weight in the rear. Thats going to hurt the gas mileage to the
point I might as well have a 4wd.
Remember I do drive a 190D to and from work all 4 seasons (110 miles a day)
in all weather. Its not that I think 4wd is a requirement, but I don't need a
2wd pickup...
Still looking for a 3rd car so the wife can benefit from better mileage
though.
