Hey, my mom has a Vanagon with that system. I always thought that even if it doesn't cool all that well, at least you can get at the evaporator easily if it leaks! But where's the condensor, I wonder? In the front with the radiator? Are there R-12 pipes running under the car alongside those ridiculously long coolant lines that always leak?
