take a peak under the shift boot.  There are two do-hickeys there  
with buttons.  One even has a power connector on it.  Up toward the  
front of the shifter.  Follow that wire and it will lead you to  
nirvana, or maybe jimi hendricks

I do not have a functional neutral lock out on Gump, as she allows me  
to start in any old gear I choose when the transmission is not  
screwed up by yours truly.
