I had a look around the exhaust manifold with no luck, tried to find a wire to trace ect. I checked on Rusty's site and I think he has them for about $100 or so, and I think that's with the wire and exact fit, so no splicing or anything. I have one of those sockets with a slit in the side, that allows the wire to fit through. You have to remove it and readjust it so the wire doesn't get to twisted, but they work well.
I bought a meter to read dwell and the 02 seems ok, in that you can see it work, but I've read that as they age, they can appear to work, but they work slower in making adjustments. The car was rich enough too when I first to it, that I fear a lot of the crap has gone down stream and probably gummed things up a little. Well, it's on the list of things to change, so I know I've done the work and if future problems come up, I can rule it out. The car does have lots of miles and I don'tknwo when it was last changed. I've seen them on other cars with over 100K and still perfect. thanks Hendrik.
