Buy it, but don't pay more than $500. I had an 88 900S that I loved, but sold - I actually tried to buy it back from my friend but he had sold it two hours before. One of the easiest cars I've worked on - the whole engine is mounted backwards (aka fan is next to firewall) so repairs are a snap.
All the headliners sag, esp. the sunroofs. I just tore the sunroof liner out and was happy. I have a pair of 900 tan cloth heated front seats sitting in my garage - they're yours if you want them.
