If I had to pick my absolute favorite Mercedes body style, I vote for the W115 chassis. I haven't owned one yet, but that will change once I find a '72 220D or a '76 300D. I remember a lister saying that it took 4 hours to r&r the alternator due to the York compressor brackets being in the way since they had to be removed. The good thing about the '72 220D is that it shouldn't have this problem since many came w/o a/c.
