Jump on the Metro and go into DC - all the museums are free and really cool. You will also need to see Arlington Cemetery, the monuments, the Capitol, White House, etc. And go down to Georgetown for some good drinks and eats and drinks. It is all easy walking or Metro or cabs are cheap. Isn't one of our listers (AS) as DCite? Maybe he can point you in the correct directions. Oh, and the Zoo and Cathedral.
